Hydroponic mini roses

In the FB AeroGarden Community, someone grew mini roses and I thought I’d give it a try. Here are photos of how I planted the roots in the sponges. I’m hoping for an alternating arrangement of yellow and pink roses.

After the roses were uprooted from the soil, the roots were rinsed to remove any fine soil debris.
The sponge seed cavity was cut open to insert and sandwich the roots.
It doesn’t look like much right now, but there are signs of new growth coming on all the rose stems.
