Baby clementine

2 weeks since planting

I’m excited to say that my clementine seed has germinated. It was planted in a tiny clay pot inside a ziploc bag, then was left outside for 2 weeks.

Now I’ve brought it indoors and placed it under my LED grow light. I have the red LED turned on since many light manufacturers mention it as beneficial for growth. They say it’s for the flowering phase, but I think it might help overall. I’m hoping that keeping it indoors will allow for the sprout to have a consistent microclimate. It’s sitting on top of gravel with water. I’ll be misting it everyday and noting its progress. In maybe ten years I’ll see fruits but this’ll be amazing if I can keep it alive from seed.
